Hype Stack Prompt for ChatGPT, Gemini & Claude
Hype Stack is a full-stack template with a different default: it starts empty.
Hype Stack is a full-stack template with a different default: it starts empty.
Most SaaS boilerplates hand you a finished app. Two hundred files, forty features, and a promise that you can delete what you don't need. Deleting someone else's code you don't understand is worse than writing your own, and every file left over is yours to maintain. Hype Stack goes the other way. The template ships the foundation only: React 19 with TanStack Router on the frontend, Hono with Prisma and Kysely on the backend, TypeScript end to end. It's open-sourced and MIT licensed, it runs on its own, and it stays free. If that's all you need, ship it as is.
Features arrive when you ask for them. Run one command, pick what you need (auth, billing, teams, notifications, calendar, newsletter, a collaborative whiteboard) and the CLI writes that feature into your repo: routes, database schema, webhook handlers, frontend hooks, UI. Not an npm package you configure. Actual source files in your project, the same way shadcn/ui does components. From that point it's your code. Edit anything, bump nothing, and when your product needs a feature to behave differently, you change the file instead of fighting a library.
Each pack covers the whole stack. The billing pack alone writes Stripe checkout, webhooks, the customer portal, the Prisma models, and the pricing page. The teams pack writes organizations, memberships, invite emails, and role checks on every route. Before you buy anything you can click through a live interactive preview of every pack, so you know exactly what lands in your repo.
The template also ships editor rules for AI tools. Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot get the conventions and app structure up front, so generated changes fit the codebase on the first try instead of the third.
When it's time to ship, the same CLI deploys the whole stack. One command provisions the services, sets the environment variables, runs the database migrations, and puts the frontend and backend live on Railway or Fly. Mobile apps and browser extensions have their own deploy targets too.
The pricing is deliberately boring. The template is free forever. The feature packs are paid with a year of access, and they fund maintaining the free part plus a bunch of my other open-source projects.
Hype Stack is for people who have written the same auth, billing, and teams code more than once and would like the next project to start at the product instead of the plumbing.
